When it comes to skiing, one of the most enjoyable and most desired moments is when fresh snow has fallen and we’re right there - ready to try out this precious, fluffy white surface with our skis!

Unfortunately, in the passing years, we get to enjoy less powder skiing because of two main reasons. One: the amount of snow that is falling is gradually dropping. As well as that, skiers are hungry for freshly covered slopes, so the powder is quickly exploited. In this battle, only the quickest ones win!

The good news is there are still quite a few places in the world, where powder skiing is an experience you can enjoy to the fullest! Our team selected the top ones for you where you can create your most precious powder ski moments!

Set up next destination for Japan

You know that Japan is a place of technology, anime, ramen, and amazing, breathtaking views. Do you know though, that you can also enjoy powder skiing there? That’s right! Japan and in particular, Hokkaido, is literally heaven on earth for all who search for a thrill on freshly fallen snow.

Hokkaido is actually a whole region of the country, and also the second biggest island of Japan, situated in the North. There are a few winter resorts there that are world-famous for their amazing skiing conditions. What you should know though, is because of their every geographical position, the amounts of snow and the type of its coverage are quite different. Nevertheless, we promise you that this will be one of your best power skiing ever!

For example, if you choose to go skiing in the resorts on the western part of the island, you are most probably going to enjoy a very good amount of fresh snowfall. That being said, most skiers that try the destination say that it is a little bit heavier, although that does not take away from the powder ski emotion. On the contrary, if you choose to visit a resort more to the center of Hokkaido, you may not get as much snow, but it will be way lighter and maybe a little bit more drier.

And while we’re in Japan, if you want to be somewhere closer to Tokyo, you can try the Minamiuonuma. This, according to the specialists, is one of the snowiest places on Earth - and definitely, a spot most powder ski enthusiasts want to do their riding on.
