Known as one of the best destinations in the world for extreme sports enthusiasts, New Zealand will be a place you want to return to again and again. There’s no doubt you’ll fall in love with nature and a variety of fun things to try out for the first time.
Definitely try the Ledge Urban Bungy, whose jumping point is located 1,312 feet over Queenstown. And thanks to a special harness, you can even do flips, twists, and other stunts after you jump. Bungee Jumping is very popular here and the possibility of doing it all at night creates an extreme urban adventure guaranteed to take your breath away.
You can always go for a joyful swing on the Nevis Swing, which is the highest of its kind in the world. Its duration allows 4 hours of fun.
If high heights isn’t your thing, you can try white water rafting - the most adventurous way to see the dramatic river gorges the country has to offer.
If this isn’t enough for you, go for mountain biking, skydiving, and explore the beauty of New Zealand.
A popular destination for adrenaline junkies in Europe, Switzerland offers canyon jumping, skydiving, rock climbing, bungee jumping, river rafting and skiing/snowboarding through the Alps.
Paragliding is another extreme and fun option to try. If you do go for it, try it at either Interlaken (1,870 feet high) or from the top of Schilthorn, which is 9,744 feet high.
Beyond the incredible views that you will enjoy at such a height, when paragliding you will feel free and get a daily dose of adrenaline.
Switzerland is a lovely country full of mountains waiting to be climbed.
There are big walls, high peaks, and great crags. The hut system is great, providing quick access to climbs and hearty fare at a reasonable price. There are a lot of locations too rock climb but we will offer you some of the best and must-do’s like Matterhorn, Chironico, Cresciano and Cadarese.
As you may know surfing, kayaking, and hiking are extreme and fun things to do in Nicaragua, but the country features another kind of sport unique to the area: Volcano boarding. Similar to dune boarding, volcano boarding means a trip down the side of an active—not erupting—volcano. High speeds have been clocked at around 50 mph, guaranteeing a unique thrill. Just outside Leon, adventures can jump on a plastic board and barrel down Nicaragua’s youngest volcano, Cerro Negro. Sadly it only takes a minute or two to reach the bottom of the volcano but it is the ride of a lifetime and you can combine it with camping overnight there.
In northern Nicaragua you’ll find Somoto Canyon where you can cliff jump, swim and tube through the water and is still not overcrowded.
Here you must try so-called Death Road (“Camino de la Muerte”) - one of the nation’s most popular backpacker activities. There’s a chance you can get addicted to downhill mountain biking. Bolivia's rocks, rivers and ravines will challenge and provoke you into pushing your own personal limits.
Using full-suspension bikes designed to float over rocks and tree roots, “DH” bikers race down steep inclines peppered with obstacles. It is a must-do adventure activity in Bolivia! Death Road is also suitable for most skill levels. If you know how to ride a bike and have experience riding in town with a small amount of traffic or taking a gravel or dirt trail through a park, then you’ll definitely have the skills required to complete this great experience. And you’ll see some of the most incredible views!
If biking the Death Road doesn’t induce enough adrenaline on its own, there’s also an opportunity to add on a zip line trip.
As well as a penchant for fashion, culture, and cutting-edge gastronomy, in this country of stunning mountain terrain, incredible beaches and magnificent urban hubs you’ll also find some of the very best destinations to get your heart pumping.
In France you can try surfing and kite surfing, paragliding, bungee jumping, canyoning, of course extreme skiing and snowboarding.
If you want to try something different and still enjoy France - bouldering is a must.
Bouldering, one of the climbing events you'll see in the Olympic games, is when people climb to heights of 20 ft or less without ropes or harnesses (safety mats are often used). Climb any higher without wearing safety equipment and you're into the realm of free solo climbing. Bouldering requires you to use your toes all the way to your fingertips, many climbers get stronger within a couple of weeks of training and they can feel the progress every time they start a new bouldering session. The skill and strength that you need to be able to reach the top of a new route or your first route at that level makes you feel like you are on top of the world.
And France is another country offering many bouldering areas such as the most popular Fontainebleau but also Targasonne, Le Prieure, and Kerlouan.
In Kerlouan you will find 14 miles of pristine coastline, sandy beaches and lots of granite boulders. This place is ideal for mixing a family holiday and doing lots of sports.
Le Prieure offers Fontainebleau style sandstone bouldering, which is located near Montpellier. A beautiful and wild oak forest is waiting for you.
Targasonne known locally as “The Chaos” , is located on the border with Spain near Andorra in the Pyrenees. This is the second best bouldering area in France (after Fontainebleau) and offer a good range of grades to suit everyone.
