History
The Millennium Stadium is the national stadium of Wales. It is ranked as the 3rd largest stadium in Britain with a total seating capacity of 74.500. Construction of the stadium started in 1997, and it was supposed to replace the former national stadium, Cardiff Arms Park. Two years later, the stadium was finished and inaugurated with a rugby friendly between Wales and South Africa. The Millennium Stadium has hosted various events from sport and motor shows to concerts and conferences since then. The Millennium Stadium was even used as a movie set on several occasions.
